Apalachin Chief's Corner A Great Big Thank You to All!
Another successful Field Days brought members of the Fire
Department and the wider community together for food, fun, and good causes.
There is not enough room in this newspaper to thank each and every person
individually, however, please know that whether you brought your kids to
the parade, rode rides, or played the Big Six, your presence was appreciated.
If you lent a hand to think-up, set-up, or clean-up, your contribution
mounts up!
It's never too early to plan your escape
routes and practice EDITH- Exit Drills In The Home. It's a simple, fun
thing to make sure everyone knows how to get out alive in case of a fire.
For more information, be sure to stop by the station on Penn. Ave and take
home some helpful brochures.
The water department has been testing hydrants in the hydrant
district. If you have any questions, please call 625-2197.
June 12th several department officers attended the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs Annual Convention in Verona, NY. There were many opportunities to learn about new techniques and equipment.
